At the OTC, we prefer to let our students do the talking.

Here is a selection of some the latest reviews of our team.

My OTC Economics admissions tutor (Max) was amazing! He played a big role in helping me to receive a place at Cambridge. I had previously been struggling with the TMUA, but together with my tutor we devised a solid revision plan to make sure I was ready for the test in October. I couldn’t have been happier with my end result.

With my Law Personal Statement, I really didn’t know where to start. My Law tutor, Jasmine, really helped me craft an original and engaging piece of writing. She guided my further reading, recommend supra-curricular activities, and supported interweaving my interests into my Personal Statement itself. I am now ready to start my LNAT preparation and am hoping to receive an offer from Oxford this year!

My English tutor, Katrina, was super supportive and guided me through every stage of my Oxford English application. I found her interview coaching to be the most useful element of the preparation I received. She really helped me to express my opinions with confidence, verbalize my thought process, and show how I think. I am super excited to be studying English at Magdalen College next year.

After I went to the Oxford open day I knew that it was the University for me to study Engineering at. I was a little concerned by the application stats and the fact my school hadn’t gotten anyone in for Engineering in the year above though. My OTC mentor (Ralph) was a huge help in my PAT preparation and interview coaching. I think his support definitely made a difference in me getting a place.

Getting an A in my Chemistry A-Level was essential to securing my place to study Medicine at Edinburgh. Though I was initially averaging a B average in my mocks, my OTC mentor, Harish, was so supportive in helping me revise. He was able to quickly identify my weak points, then work on these areas specifically. Thanks to his help, I got that A grade and am now studying to become a doctor.

The thing I liked most about my History admissions tutoring was the mock interviews. I did 5 mock interviews in preparation with The OTC, each with a different Oxbridge History tutor who I hadn’t met before. These interviews were really challenging, but meant that I felt way more confident during my actual Oxford interview. I think it made a big difference in getting my place!

After not doing so well in my Maths GCSE mock I was really worried about my end-of-year exams. However, my OTC tutor, Jaymin, was incredibly helpful in making a past paper-driven revision plan which best suited me! I was delighted with my final result and am now taking Maths at A-Level with Chemistry and Biology with the aim of studying medicine at uni.

Studying medicine at a top 5 UK medical school had always been my goal, but I was struggling to improve my BMAT score to the required level. My tutor (Vith), was great! He helped me with weekly BMAT tutorials in prep for the exam. We worked together to plan a curriculum focusing on the areas I found hardest, and gradually saw my scores begin to improve. I am so happy to be starting Medicine at UCL in September.

After receiving a place to study Maths at Cambridge, I was looking for STEP support to make sure that I reached my offer. Varun was a huge help in explaining complex Mathematical proofs and problems. Together with his support, I was able to reach my offer and I am now studying Maths Tripos at Trinity College Cambridge. Thank you, OTC!

My husband and I were very keen for our daughter to go to a Grammar School, rather than a private or state school in London. Our daughter is bright, but required an extra push to make sure she scored highly on the 11+ and guaranteed a place at our first-choice secondary school. Ned was an engaging and friendly mentor, who really knows his stuff. He was a major help in helping Annabelle get into our preferred school!
