Jessica
Tutor
University of Oxford - Politics, Philosophy and EconomicsHi, I’m Jess! I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Mansfield College, Oxford and graduated with a high 2:1 in 2021. Before this I achieved straight As at A level studying History, Maths and Spanish. Since graduating I have worked online as a tutor, specialising in admissions; I have over 200 hours of experience supporting students in their applications. During my time as an admissions tutor, I have built up a bank of resources and knowledge to support students through every stage of the admissions process from personal statement support to interview preparation. Through my experience as a mock interviewer, I have become acutely aware of where students tend to go wrong and what advice is necessary to remedy these mistakes. I can work with students individually through mock interviews and feedback, or in groups through advice sessions and interview workshops. My advice not only improves students' interview technique but also increases their confidence going into the interview so that they are in the best position possible when it comes to the selection process. With my help students are able to demonstrate their full potential to universities and go on to secure offers to the university of their dreams.

University of Cambridge - Human, Social, and Political SciencesHi everyone! I’m Echo and I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge where I studied Human, Social, and Political Sciences (HSPS). I was born in China and came to the UK to study when I was 15. I received all 5 offers in my UCAS application, obtained A*(Politics) A (Religious Studies) A(Maths) in A-levels and 11A*s in GCSEs. The diverse subjects I elected to study at A-level, combined with the further study of such an interdisciplinary subject as HSPS at university, makes me well equipped to help students seeking support across a broad range of academic disciplines. I have been tutoring junior schoolmates from various cultural backgrounds in a wide range of subjects for more than three years. I have a good understanding of how hard it can be to study essay-based subjects in a second language, and would love to help with Oxbridge admissions, personal statements, and interviews.
