  • Emma

    Tutor
    University of Cambridge - Law

Hi, I’m Emma, and I tutor students wishing to apply to study law at Oxbridge. I studied law at Cambridge and having finished my BA this June I am starting training contract with Slaughter and May next March. I am an experienced, and enthusiastic tutor, capable of helping my students grasp challenging and formulate concise & compelling arguments. I really enjoyed my degree and the Cambridge experience as a whole, and would love to help others like me whose dream it is to attend Oxbridge to get there. Coming from an international background I have personally experienced how helpful it can be to have someone familiarise you with the various parts of the application process and prepare you for how to do well. Having prepared a lot, in the end I found my interview and written exam very enjoyable and relaxed, and I would love to help others succeed!

Hi, my name is Marwa and I am about to start my 3rd year studying Law at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford. As someone that found applying to Oxford confusing, I am passionate about demystifying the Oxbridge application process! My experience consists of aiding students throughout their Oxbridge application process by providing tailored personal statement advice and supporting students through interviews and entrance exam prep. Having edited countless personal statements, I know the tips and tricks to make your personal statement stand out from the crowd while still being authentic to your interests. Being the Access Director of the Oxford Women in Law Student Society, I have had the pleasure of running a range of access sessions that have developed my understanding of the kind of support you may need throughout this process. I look forward to meeting you soon. Good luck with your studies!

  • Jasmine

    Tutor
    University of Oxford - Law

Hi, I’m Jasmine, a Law with French Law graduate from the University of Oxford (First Class Honours), having received the Family Law Prize for achieving the highest marks in my cohort, an Exhibition for my finals results, and two College scholarships. Prior to this, I achieved 3A stars at A-Level and 10A stars at GCSE. I am currently studying the Bar course in Bristol and am starting pupillage this October. Having volunteered throughout my time at Oxford with the Access team, I am passionate about debunking Oxbridge admissions myths and ensuring students feel confident in their applications, whatever their background. I’ve tutored students in Oxbridge admissions since my first year, so have 4+ years of relevant experience to deploy. I love hearing the answers students give in mock interviews and engaging in legal discussions with you, and will go through your personal statement with a fine-toothed comb to ensure it will stand out from the crowd. My tutoring approach is engaging but structured; we will make a plan at the start of our sessions and break tasks down into manageable chunks. I think the key to a strong Oxford Law application is a demonstrable ability to think critically and show confidence in your own opinions, something which we will make sure to develop in our sessions.

    Tutor
    University of Cambridge - Law

Hi! My name is Simon and I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA (Hons) in Law. I am currently studying an International Law LLM at UCL. I am an experienced tutor working with children of all ages as part of the Success4all programme in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, in addition to tutoring students studying for GCSE as well as A-Level exams. I am also well versed with the application process for other undergraduate law degrees, including the LNAT and Cambridge Law Exam and I have advised applicants to Cambridge Law regarding personal statements, the interview process, and the written exam. As I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at a State school, I know very well how daunting and complicated the Oxbridge application process can be and I firmly believe in supporting applicants from all backgrounds as much as possible.

    Tutor
    University of Cambridge - Law

Hi, I'm Nathan, and I am currently studying law at Magdalene College, University of Cambridge. At A level, I achieved A*A*A in History, Politics and Mathematics. At GCSE, I achieved all 9s, one of 732 students to do so in 2018, achieving the prize for outstanding performance at my school. I also achieved A*s in the EPQ and HPQ. I have over three years of experience tutoring from primary school to GCSE across subjects, so I can prepare and teach difficult concepts in an understandable way, while offering my own tips and tricks. I know how stressful the Oxbridge application process is, having gone through it whilst completing an EPQ, but I have the knowledge and experience to aid you through it. My experience and success in mooting at University mean I am adept at having interesting and challenging legal debates, and I will use this skill to push my students and give them that extra insight that will go a long way in the interview process.
