Elena
Tutor
University of Oxford - Geography
I recently graduated from the University of Oxford in Geography with First Class Honours (2022). During my time at Oxford, I was awarded an Open Scholarship three consecutive years (2019-2022) and the JR Hughes Book Prize (2021), awarded annually to the best-performing Geography student at St Edmund Hall college. Prior to beginning my journey at Oxford, I was also awarded the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award (2019) for achieving the highest grade in the world for IAL Geography. I am very passionate about improving access to Oxbridge Geography. Throughout my educational journey at Oxford I have continued to work as an academic tutor, supporting students from around the world with their applications and interview preparation. I am incredibly excited to continue drawing from my past experiences and accumulated skills to continue supporting aspiring Oxbridge applicants. -
Elliott
Tutor
University of Oxford - GeographyHi, my name is Elliott, a First Class graduate in Geography from the University of Oxford and experienced tutor. My expertise spans the human, environmental, and physical dimensions of geography, alongside extensive experience in related fields such as sociology, politics and philosophy. A passion for these subjects makes tutoring a genuine joy for me, and I am driven to help students achieve their goals. I have tutored students for many hours at GCSE and A Level in geography and sociology, while also doing preparatory sessions for university admissions and for undergraduates undergoing difficulties. I am always keen to speak to new students and explore the ways in which I can help them fulfil their maximum potential. My students have exhibited clear progress and enjoyed even the most difficult sessions. I pride myself on my personable and interactive style, and would love to get started to help you out!

Immi
Tutor
University of Cambridge - Geography
My name is Immi and I’m a third year geographer at Christ’s College, Cambridge. I studied maths, further maths, physics, and geography at A level, and have achieved between an upper second class and first class in the last two years across a variety of human and physical modules. I am currently working towards applying for my PGCE in order to become a secondary-school geography teacher after university. In terms of my tutoring experience, I work with GCSE and A Level students for a variety of subjects, acting as a homework buddy, specific subject tutor (such as geography, physics, and maths), and university applications (in terms of their personal statements, interview techniques, and choosing colleges that would be a suitable environment for each individual depending on their needs and aspirations). To me, experimenting with different learning styles and promoting active participation has translated into individual success and improvement with my students. Oxbridge preparation can seem quite daunting, but I strive to help my students break down each stage of the application process, guiding them to figure out their own personal successes and interests in the subject, and thus individually formulating an honest, enthusiastic, and truthful application. -
Alfie
Tutor
University of Oxford - Geography
Hi everyone, I’m Alfie. I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have extensive experience surrounding the Oxbridge application process, having successfully tutored multiple individuals to receive offers from both universities. As a recent graduate, I can fully empathise with the complexity and difficulty of the Oxbridge application process. I seek to help each candidate control the controllables of the interview, whether that be personal presentation, logical thought, or answer planning. This can help both settle nerves and improve performance if applied diligently. I was given the Geography prize in my first year and graduated with a first class degree from Worcester College, Oxford, spanning both the human and physical aspects of the course. As such I can provide deep, realistic, and broad interviews making me well placed to aid applicants. -
Rose
Tutor
University of Oxford - GeographyHi there! My name is Rose, I’m a second year Geography student at St Edmund’s Hall, Oxford, and in my first year exams achieved joint second highest results in the year . Prior to this I achieved 3A*s at A-Level in Geography, English Literature, and History. I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor. I’m happy to take things as slow or speedy as you like, focusing on development of critical thinking skills alongside rock solid understanding of core material. I’ve been in the position of both highly-motivated high-achiever and chronic procrastinator, so wherever you are on that spectrum, I can help. I have a holistic understanding of the end-to-end admissions process, and can support you from personal statements to admissions tests, all the way to interviews. I look forward to meeting you!

Zayaan
Tutor
University of Cambridge - Land Economy
Hi everyone, I’m Zayaan! I’m a second-year student studying Land Economy (Economics, Law, and Environment) at Cambridge and completed my first year with first-class honours, ranking 10th in my cohort. I am originally from Dubai and scored 44 out of 45 in the IBDP, taking higher Maths, Economics, and Geography. I’ve had a couple of years of tutoring experience and have realised that successful tutoring commands one fundamental value: empathy. I can place myself in your shoes when setting deadlines and put myself in an unbiased assessor’s shoes when reviewing your work. Having been through the Oxbridge process myself, I know how overwhelming it can be, especially when sometimes the people around you might not follow similar timelines. I can assure you that you will always have an understanding, flexible, and passionate companion and mentor working with me. I am also excited to answer questions about Land Economy! Contrary to the image the name creates, Land Economy is extensive, and I would love to help students navigate and consider all their options before making a choice. I look forward to working together! -
Ben
Tutor
University of Cambridge - PhilosophyHi everyone, my name is Ben, and I am a recent philosophy graduate from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. I ranked inside the top ten in the philosophy tripos in my final year and achieved the highest mark in the country on my Shakespeare essay in my English Literature A-Level. I am a charismatic, friendly, and patient tutor, who believes that the best tutors are those who instil a passion for their subject in their students. I feel privileged to have had an education at one of the best universities in the world and have extended that opportunity to others with my years of experience tutoring students throughout the Cambridge admissions process. Besides Cambridge admissions, I have experience not just tutoring but working in schools with KS3 and GCSE students in a range of subjects – but feel most comfortable tutoring English and Philosophy. I have also worked with several A-Level students. I am a thorough believer that every student has different needs, and tailor my tutoring accordingly. I also have extensive experience working with students who have special educational needs. I look forwards to meeting you soon and sharing the OTC’s love for knowledge.
